3) sound is really lacking on this tv - i have it in the bedrooom, where i don't want external speakers, and while i can live with tinny sound, i would have paid a little more for a decent speaker

some indicated that the sound wasn't loud enough, but to me it too is quite adequate (i have home theater hooked up, but use tv speakers for news).

the sound is adequate but external receiver and speakers are probably necessary to get a true movie theater experience (which is probably what you want when spending so much money for a tv).
