(i'm using timewarner cable.) the vizio name at the bottom of the frame is a soft orange when it's off, and a soft white when it's on, so it's not a distraction in the kitchen where i have the set.

i bought it for a sunny kitchen and i could hardly see it at all the picture was so dim - and the sound was like a tin can - so annoying i just couldn't imagine getting used to it.
