and it looks great, and for the less than 24 hours that it worked, the pictures and features were impressive.
the sony remote, is not as intuitive as the visio, and we are actually glad to be using the cable box remote.the sound quality is adequate, but action movie buffs will want a home theater set-up.
best picture, best tv love this tv color 'wow' 1080p,120 hz unreal!
the picture is bright, clear, no fuzzy words.
the only major "flaw" is component in, it had a hard time picking up the component input video signals, but s-video input from my old dvd(480i) looked really good.
my only quibble is that when you want to switch input to a vcr or dvd player, the menu stays on the screen for just a few seconds, so you have to do it quickly.
though the problems start occuring with image quality when you watch tv or dvd's.
i also ordered the sony upscaling dvd player and 2 hdmi cables from amazon with my order.
the blu-ray discs are fabulous at 1080i, but frankly, the standard definition dvds show almost as well at 480p.
picture and sound are excellent.
however, i feel that given the features of the lcd, the overall design of the cabinet, picture quality and connections available make this a superior product.
i watched a dvd movie and everything just looks more alive, i see little details that i didn't see before with the 27' it puts you into the action of movie, my heartwas pumping along the actions!!
i have it hooked up to my sony blu ray player--nothing like being there while watching a movie.
highly recommended you'll love it trust me...you'll go back and want to watch your old movies, blu-rays, video games etc.
the tv has a 10 bit display and the 1080/24p feature toget the max out of a blue-ray player when you're watching films but i have a sony 1080p upconvert dvd player (w/bravia control)and honestly i
press it and turn it on and you will feel like you are watching a movie in a theater setting.
this tv at home before taking it to the jersey shore and the picture was pretty bad on the sd channels, at the shore the cable is much better and just about all of the channels where very sharp.
it works great, the picture quality is amazing.
haven't hooked up to dvd player yet.
true, sd picture quality is only adequate, and if sd is a priority, then there are better sets for that purpose.
so when viewing non hd signals (cable 480i or dvd 480p) the t.v.
last and most important is picture quality.
while 40 can be too big and 32 too small, 37 is just right and it pops out like a movie theater.
it combines the best features of the 32-inch tabletop models (sound, clarity, ease of operation) and makes the perfect fit for any normal living room, den or bedroom.
works great with my apple tv, sony dvd, and cable connection.
