i feel as if i am transplanted at the movie theater with the vivid colours that are just seeping out of it.
we use it for movies and video games and the picture quality is very clear.
got it home and plugged it in and watched a blue ray movie and was totally blown away with the home theater experience.
even regular dvd's look flawless.
for movies or any other programming where you want a good range of sound, you should use a surround sound or something else.the tv was easy to set up and blue ray movies look amazing!
even at it's regular price of $1699 it's much cheaper then a xbr or sharp aquos and the picture is just as good.
with the dnr and the 120hz there's hardly any blur with fast action.
the picture is very clear, sharp, colors are superb with blue-ray discs, the best that i have ever seen even compared to tv's on display at local retailers.
the picture is now perfect, with very little video noise and great clarity.
the picture quality is awesome, the refresh rate beats every set i can find.
i am well pleased with this sony product...picture quality terrific and the options are as well......looking forward to getting a blue/ray dvd to go with it.....doug
automatically switches inputs for you which i find very nice (when watching tv and you load a dvd, it switches to dvd for you.
i have wii, ps3, dvd, hooked up to it and they all look very crisp and clear, especially the ps3 (blu-ray)!
i have not played blu ray on this tv or hooket it up to network but i did play up-converted 1040i movies from my dvd player and i can tell it rocks.
i was able to throw in a dvd to test it before signing off on the delivery.
i brought it initially for the xbox 360 and to watch hd netflix movies via 360 and i wasn't disappointed.
it plays tv, movies and my ps3 + wii fantasticly, no ghosting, extremely sharp, great color and contrast.
i found the toshiba xd-e500 upconversion dvd player online for $76, which produces an excellent picture on the 42rv535u.
most dvd hd or blue ray players will do this , but this tv does that on your cable signal.
blu-ray is still the way to go, but even playing dvds upconverted to 1080p looks amazing on this set.
it was great don't getme wrong but if your into great movie sounds it is highly recommended to purchase a home theater system which is my next buy.
i got it home and wow watching dvds and hd channels are amazing.
and we saw this tv and the picture looked good, but when we got it home we were thoroughly impressed with an extremely clear and vivid display, the colors are so crisp and clean and very sharp.
i was shocked that i could buy it for the same price range and the picture quality was so much better.
the picture looks great watching sd, hd, or playing a game.upscaling dvds on this tv is really nice, too.
just remember regular cable tv doesn't look good at all with hdtv's, but the movies make it worth it.
my husband purchased this tv for our living room we live in a small apartment.it is great, picture clarity is excellent.
it is hooked-up to a surround sound system so the sound is outstanding, that in addition to the ease of installation and beautiful picture quality, i'd say it's an excellent video/audio investment.
i have seen many lcd and this one has a crisp, clear picture.
so if you like to do lots and lots of adjustments this is not the tv for you.the color is crisp, bright and looks fantastic on bluray.
while not the top of the line, this lcd has gorgeous definition and picture quality.
and the picture quality is really amazing.
sony tv's have always had great picture quality and this set is no exception.
