120hz takes awhile to get used to because it takes the grainy look from film and makes the picture clear.
anyone who has seen a movie on it is shocked as to how clear and realistic the picture is.
however, while i had it the picture was great with blu ray and hd dvd.
(it has different e-modes for sports, movies and games) the non-reflective screen makes for good viewing in our family room, which has lots of windows.
it almost make it seem like the characters are right there in the room with you when you are watching blu-ray movies.
the picture is unbelievable, we watched a 3-d movie the other night and it was incredible.
we have hooked up to surround sound and watching movies and hd cable channels are totally different experience.
we have watched several movies and our local cable hd channels quite a bit and we are all very impressed.
the tv is great and with a sony bravia-sync'ed upgrading dvd ($79) we get 1080p video which makes the blu-ray issue moot, for us anyway.

i haven't seen a blu ray movie yet but what i can see so far watching high def it should be spectacular.
even at it's regular price of $1699 it's much cheaper then a xbr or sharp aquos and the picture is just as good.
setup was very easy with hdmi cables for cable-box and blu-ray dvd.
with the dnr and the 120hz there's hardly any blur with fast action.
after watching a movie or playing the wii, the tv does not recognize the satellite input after changing the source back to the hdmi.
can't wait to hook up the ps3 for blu-ray movies.
i've owned toshiba in the past and never hada problem and picture quality was always memorable.
i rate it on par or slightly below the sony and samsung ($400+ more), but a step ahead of the sharps.
taking out of the box and running it we were just amazed with picture quality and sound.
i would suggest you have or plan to purchase peripheral devices (dvd player, receiver, etc) capable of hd output as the tv is looking for a high resolution input to provide the best output possible.
i use it for computer via vga and blu-ray movies etc.
it's aspect ratio is 16x10, and unless you have a video card capable of handling this, your display will be stretched to 4:3 unless you want black wide-screen bars (like on a wide-screen movie.) if
having used only crt monitors in the past, i was concerned that an lcd monitor might not measure up to the crisp clarity of my current 21" crt.
picture quality is superb and control over aspect ratios and color, brightness, contrast etc.
the screen is very bright and my games and photos look wonderful.
i absolutely love watching hd movies, sports in hd, and playing my xbox 360 in 1080p on it whenever i'm home from school on the weekends.

i compared it to the sony's the vizio and samsung and sharp and the sony was the only one that came close and that was a couple of hundred dollars more.
overall its great for computer use, playing video games, and movies.
the picture quality is nothing short of amazing especially when viewing blu-ray.
(ritz tends to have higher prices on most things they sell than other web merchants.) well, i'm almost shocked at the quality of this picture -- sharpness, vibrance, color, etc.
