had the tv installed today and learned during the installation that it does not support the bose cinematic sound system i bought.
i'm happy with the tv's picture so the sound system is being returned.
use to be all you hear is the background sounds and music play in a movie..
the menu interface is very easy to use and gives many options with input, picture, and audio settings.
this lcd with the 240 hz is great, best picture quality i seen with my blue ray and hdmi cable with 1.3 and over 240 hz quality..
using the ps3 to play video games or watch bluray movies is a whole new experience because the color just comes out of the screen.
the picture quality is spectacular and so is the sound.
too good, since the movement of the camera, especially if hand-held for certain scenes is so distinct that it can sometimes be distracting, with all the "jarring" that happens during the filming.
in fact, it looked as if someone was putting on a live production of the movie.
i didn't have to touch the tv once to setup the wii, dvd, vcr, audio reciever, it was all done with the remote.
the quality of this tv is amazing everyone i know that owns an hdtv says that this one is so much better, the difference between 60 & 120hz is crazy, even watching a 700 mb 90 min avi movie on this
it's a beautiful picture, right out of the box.
i had to switch trumotion off because the feature made all movies look like a reality show.
i invited my family over for a movie night.
after playing around with all the pix options - and there are a lot of choices - i ended up with video that was incredible....an amazing improvement on my 3yr old sharp (which i had thought was
my a/v setup was in place when it arrived and all i had to do was connect the hdmi to start watching television.
you may not notice it if you don't watch sports or fast action movies.
but after that it looks amazing in movies tv, and video games.
for us it came down to picture quality alone (not the thin-ness or looks at all) and seeing it in various stores, it always seemed to have a brighter, sharper picture than any of it's rivals.
itself of this lcd is not matted like many of its predecessors, it is glossy resembling a plasma tv or some of its smaller lcd pc monitor cousins, which allows it a brighter, fuller color clarity.
plug your usb device or game console into it and view your photos and play games easily.
out of the box, it's a great experience.
hd content looks great and after watching some hd dvd movies(sorry no blu ray player yet) i am impressed with the picure on this set.
the set has a pixel orbiter which should mean no worries whatsoever with regards to burn in as long as you don't leave a dvd menu up all day.
i went to sears to compare this set with panasonic and samsung and this tv provides the best picture out of the 3.
i watch blu ray movies on it and it is absolutely crystal clear and by far one of the best pictures i have ever watched a movie on.the only problem i have had with this tvs audio hasnt worked.
what's great about it:?picture quality is jaw dropping and sound is very good.
it's slow to start up and switch channels too, but i can deal with that for the picture quality.

i sue it with an upconver dvd player and it looks great.
it was absolutely simple to set up - nothing to it.
i got to say, the set-up was very easy, the set did it by itself.
picture and sound are great.
reviewfor a 19 in model, vizio's quality is comparable to sony/samsung/sharp.
what's great about it:?wonderfully sharp picture; easy to set up; good value.
what's great about it:?picture quality, color is vivid and blacks are really dark, and the price what's not so great:?sound quality, takes about 3 seconds to start up once turned on.

what's great about it:?great picture, good sound, and affordable sony bravia!
a little larger than a 26, full 1080p clear picture and only $400.
these cables can be found on amazon (not bestbuy) very reasonably priced (shop!) they will improve picture quality for everything you hook up to the tv.
after measuring my entertainment center, i realized that a 32 inch was slightly too large and would not fit.
my whole issue with tv shopping was that i needed one that would fit my entertainment center (30-1/4"w).
great picture, great sound, great value!
this is exactly what i was looking for in a small and current hdtv with dvd.
the combo dvd is very convenient to use.
we probably will never use the embedded dvd player, but it's nice to know it's there.
however, its the price was right, and shoot, it plays dvd's too, without having to hook a dvd player to it.
it's handy to be able to pop in a dvd, a feature i hadn't even been looking for.
i was a little worried about lag playing online games with an lcd, but i cannot detect any difference between the sharp lc46e77u and playing on my song vega 32" crt.
i cannot vouch for the over the air tuner or the speakers because i am not using either of these features.
setup was easy, color/picture was almost perfect out of the box, hd cable looks great, and my xbox 360 looks and performs great on this tv.
i dont use the speakers on the panel though i do use it to feed my sony surround system with fixed output.
700 mb dvd rips look flawless on this panel.
what's great about it:?easy to unpack and set-up abilty to set up each dvd game console for specific colors what's not so great:?nothing yet "returned the first flat due to picture quality problems.
the sound on the tv isn't fantastic, but it is definitely better than a lot of other flat screens i've heard.
what's great about it:?very good value in the 37" flat panel market, great picture what's not so great:?sound through tv speakers is acceptable but not great.
it has all the features you need with 2 hdmi inputs that covers the satelite and dvd feeds, can'r ask for anything more!
i would return it for the comparable current-model lg at $699 except the toshiba has variable audio outputs which are essential for my bedroom sound setup.
the price and the act it came with a build in dvd player was too much too much to pass up.
i love this television it is perfect for use in my kitchen, the picure and sound quality is great, and i love the fact that i can watch a dvd or listen to my favorite cd while preparing dinner.
it's thin, it's light, speakers are good for it's size, and it takes up little space, which could even be less if it connected to a mount.
the sound quality is not as rich as with a larger tv, but it is still very good.
i did not hesitate to call crutchfield the specialist at crutchfield are fabulous to talk with.my toshiba 15inch is great no problem setting up and it has a beautiful picture, quality is great.
(gaming, movies, hd programming etc.) as of this writing, i couldn't be more satisfied the picture and sound are both amazing and it's everything i was expecting and a whole lot more.
it works very well as a pc monitor and we are able to watch netflix watch instantly movies, youtube videos and tv shows from hulu or the networks' sites.
the picture is very crisp, great sound, and it hooks up easily with lots of inputs.
it's not "entertainment center" quality, but it's the only screen i watch 3-4 hours a day that doesn't give me a headache (like the laptop, the desktop, the phone, etc etc etc).
it also interfaces with our sony home theater system with an hdmi cable so we can control the whole system with one remote.
what's great about it:?picture quality, easy setup, simple remote what's not so great:?only 3 hdmi and 2 on the side panel "this is my first big screen flat panel, lcd or plasma and i'm very happy
what's great about it:?picture quality.
i also have to say the sound from the tv's speakers are also an improvement but i suggest that you still hook it up to a surround sound system and why not if you want that home theater sound that
what's great about it:?stunningly brilliant right out of the box what's not so great:?needs theater sound system-stock sound is disappointing "thought i'd be "smart" and buy from base
the sound and features are great, but they mean nothing if what you are watching is bad.
good, this tv has a very clear picture, sound not so good..but i can live with that ..picture quality and features are what i look for .so i would recommend the lg 37" class / 720p / 60hz / lcd hdtv
what's great about it:?picture quality when used with hd source, good sound, easy setup what's not so great:?only one rca input, need a newer surround sound system for surround sound.
it will not satisfy the tv enthusiast who is willing to shell out the big bucks for the ultimate picture, but it is perfect for those who want good picture quality, reliability, and a small price tag.
what's great about it:?great picture and great sound.
what's great about it:?bright colors not dull at all what's not so great:?poor sound, and not enough inputs "lg 37 is worth every bit of the $699 i paid .the colors are great, features are good, this
i also have dish tv dvr, blu ray and dvd recorder connected to the yamaha with one hdmi output to the tv.
hdtv, blu-ray, dvd, etc all look great on this tv.
even non hd channels look good, which i didnt think they would bc of how big the tv is.people are amazed when they walk in and see a movie playing bc they think that dlp isnt as good as lcd, however i
i have home theater setup just for movies, and watch "regular tv" thru the tv speakers with no problem.
we are avid sports enthusiasts and watching tennis, football, basketball, track and field and other sports events is like being there!!!
bright panel with good color, thx mode for movies, sport setting for sports.
it is a perfect size and has great picture quality all for a good price.
the picture is very contrasty and sharp once properly calibrated, and all of the content that i play on it looks very smooth.
i'm driving this display with a directv hd dvr and a panasonic dvd recorder/player, both via hdmi.
one thing that upsets me is the black bars present in most movies, but this is not the tv's fault.
having ethernet enables several functions: 1) software upgrades (this is the future of home media equipment), 2) viera link (enables online content including online movie rentals).
no blurs, no pixelization and great sound (i do run it thru the denon though and do not use the speakers on the tv).
got it set up on the wall and hooked up.
set up was very easy and i have it hooked into a panasonic bd80 blu-ray and a higher end denon receiver.
some have reported problems playing blu-ray movies in native 24p format.
