I bought this, and had a Y-controller go out within three weeks - the top half of my screen went black, while bottom half and sound worked fine. Called customer service and was told part is on backorder - and now have been two weeks without a TV (scheduled for fixing 3 weeks after part broke). from Amazon.com TV was not clear when hooked up to my old DVD player (with component video cables) or my comcast cable box. Called the LG repair guy and he said I needed to get an HD box from Comcast which costs extra. from Amazon.com This was standard universal bracket, and so would have been a problem with any set. Now that price is almost the same as panny & sammy 42 PDP's. This PDP is stunning and the wife likes it more than the PN42B450 and the TCP42X1 that we test drove for 30 days each. The anti-reflective coating could be better and the blacks are a li'l inferior to that of the Panny/Sammy, but still not bad and the 3-way toggle to set energy savings is way cool. from Amazon.com Pros: Rich, vibrant colors; full complement of inputs; extensive color calibration and menu system; inky plasma blacks from Amazon.com I went to Sears checking out a 50 in plasma tv, I intend to buy a Samsung pn50b450,they don't have it in stock, I look at several Panasonics, and I came across this Lg50pq30, it is the latest from LG, I compare it with the 9 plasma tv they had on display, this LG came in tied 2nd with the Panasonic, only 1 Panasonic with 1080p has a better picture resolution, and it sells for $1500, the LG was on sale for $899, I just can't resist the price , I have it setup at home, the picture is very sharp, the speakers on the set is decend too.
