Just got my monitor two days ago, spent the first day with Acer tech support and couldn't get the thing to work. I recieved the message ''Input not supported.'' Ended up reinstalling windows and it worked fine after that, although the left half of my screen is darker than the right... from Tigerdirect.com Usually I like to wait to write a review until I have used the product for a while. Having used this now for over 3 months, the X243W is the best monitor for the money you can find on the market. If you are having troubles seeing your screen; screens to dark, blurry then don't wait, make the transition now to this monitor, you will love it! from Tigerdirect.com Big problem with the 3 of these I bought. (actually went through 4 exchanges to get the 3 that sort of work) Every single on of the 7 shipped to me had many bad pixels (very distracting on a few) It is also a well known problem (posted all over the internet) with these monitors (most large acer models in fact) in which the monitor keeps losing recognition that a signal is being sent to it), what happens is over and over a large block in the center of the screen pops up saying no signal, though the screen is working fine and that large text box eventually dissapears on it's own (until it reappears several hours later for 2-10 min) There is a work around if you own one of these..the problem is the power switch.. DO NOT USE IT If you get the text box about lost signal, UNPLUG the power to the monitor and then replug it in.... from Tigerdirect.com One quit after two hours - completely black screen. The other is still running - so far. Covered by Acer warranty but I still probably won't have it for weeks. Doesn't include shipping for repair, either. from Tigerdirect.com My 24" ACER quit working after a year and a half and because it was out of warranty, it's impossible to talk to anyone about the problem without coming up with a credit card and paying by the minute for them to tell you it doesn't work any more. No more ACER for me. from Amazon.com No bells and whistles here. Basic LCD with solid stand that only allows a bit of tilting. A bit heavier than expected, compared to the similar Acer 22" model.
