because you can use it as micro sd, mini sd, sd and as a usb memory.
no problems so far, i am using it on my tmobile g1 phone with no complaints cons: a bit hard to put the micro sd card on the tiny usb flash drive
in particulary the usb adapter is rather small and makes for a convenient flash drive, despite it's size, it feels pretty solid.
it has been most useful allowing me to interface the kingston 8gb memory module into all my pc's regardless of their age using the usb adapter.
in this package u get the 8gb microsd card, usb reader, sd & mini sd adapter, amazon shipped very fast(only thing was they shipped each one in a different package and i ordered all at the same
i like the itty-bitty usb reader too; it comes with a little 3 inch long lanyard with a jewelry clasp and a tiny key ring.
the usb adapter is quite small, smaller than the pictures make it seem, and hard to handle.
-tested with provided usb adapter (it's so cute and tiny!)
but it is easy to insert and remove from a usb port.
the best part of buying this card is that it came with a usb adapter, so besides listening to music on my phone, i can insert the sd card in to the usb adapter and put in the usb port on my pc or any
review: with a project that required distribution on several flash drives, i was given several 16 gb sandisk cruzer micro usb flash drives with u3.?
the sandisk cruzer micro 16 gb usb 2.0 flash drive is an excellent product.
tho i haven't checked out all the features of this flash drive, its retractable usb jack is a wonderful innovation -- it preserves the jack, keeps it clean and makes it more compact to carry.
if you seek a flash drive for storing media, e.g., music and/or photographs, then you can easily disable the u3 software upon inserting it into a usb drive.
i also own a sony 8 gig flash drive and somewhat prefer its automatic spring action (the way it retracts the usb port thing).
most usb flash drives can do the basics: store data and transfer it quickly.
the sandisk ultra cruzer titanium usb flash drives are my favorites of all the usb flash drives.
i had planned to get a usb flash drive and went with the larger 16gb because my computer crashed not long ago.
if you want the program to auto start whenever you plug it in at your usb port (which takes around 5sec.) you just point it out at the installation of the u3 launchpad, and i bet most of the users
the 512 mb had some issues showing up when i plugged it into the usb port (had to un-plug and plug it back in a few time to get the computer to see it), but this one and the last one show up without
this is a solid product with a great price tag (lowest 16gb usb so far) and would recommed it.
it does not transfer data as quickly as some of the high-end usb flash drives but at less than $30 for a 16 gb drive, this was a terrific bargain.
i've been a kingston user for a long time now, and i decided if i was going to buy a high capacity usb flash, it had to be from this manufacturer.
there is not much to usb flash drive but this one unlike some i have bought, seem to move data faster when you write to it.
i've owned a few kingston usb flash drives and have had great success.
compatible with 5 year old computers running xp and usb ports to new vista laptops & desktops with usb 2.0 ports.
(write 4.6 gb in 6:20 min) unfortunately mine did not come with a usb cable (different packaging)
also mine didn't come with the usb extension cable as pictured here.
anyhow, if you are looking for a solid usb flash drive, this is it.
drive is very narrow so it doesn't block other usb slots which is nice.
extension cable provided to connect to crowded usb hubs.
it comes with a usb extension cable & a neck lanyard.
tried a few of the 64gb usb flash and this one is amongst the best.
it's also physically short enough to plug directly into the car's usb connector and still close the armrest cover (bmw e90).
it will cover two nearest horizontal usb ports.
no problems at all, the performance is what you would expect from a class 6 sdhc, i tested the throughput with hdtune and it's on par with a $100 32gb usb flash drive that i have.
but you have other adapters plugged to the usb port, it should run perfectly fine.
my desktop writes to it faster if i use a usb adapter rather than the sd adapter, but i think that's because my desktop's sd card reader is slow--it's an old desktop.
when you connect a bb curve via usb, and load 8gb of music card, it can take hours to complete.
additionally, i use the phone, mounted as a usb drive, to move files to and from work.
you can buy a new card reader (the expensive way) or you can just buy an sd to usb adapter.
plus, they included a free usb reader for each card i purchased.
what i ended up doing is buying a small usb microsd adapter ($2.99 on amazon).
cons: did not work with my sandisk imagemate 12 in 1 reader usb reader under xp.did not work in my toshiba laptop builtin reader under xp.
in my testing using a sandisk usb card reader write speed is 15.5mb/s and read is 40mb/s.
cons: i doubt most older cameras or any usb card reader could achieve those speeds, but that's not the fault of the card.
i also suggest purchasing a usb 2.0 memory card reader/writer to take advantage of the fastest read and write speeds when transferring files with your desktop or laptop computers.
i have not achieved either one yet but with a usb card reader i use the rest of the space for transporting all kinds of files and the transfer speed is phenomenal.
pros: comes with usb reader cons: while it has a 15 mb/s transfer rate the rated minimum is 4mb/s.
i own many types...cf,sd,sdhc,microsd,cruzer,and sd/usb.
