Alpha Shield is a great Product. I set mine to Auto-mode,which from Amazon.com I have had an alpha shield since they were first introduced. To be honest, when I bought it, I was not expecting much from a device with only 2 buttons. from Amazon.com I installed Norton Internet Security and within no time realised my machine was under continual attack, with warnings flashing up everywhere! But with holes and patches being issued regularly I decided that it would be pure folly to only rely on a software solution to protect my sensitive data. from Amazon.com Setting up and maintaining software firewalls on multiple computers can be a maintenance nightmare for someone that isn't interested in doing the work. Here's the solution! from Amazon.com Thanks to my Symantec Client Firewall and Symantec Anti-Viru-s installed, I was able to determine that I was getting many unwanted intrusions. It was surprising and scary to see what was happening! from Amazon.com Cannot protect all clients connected if you have a combo DSL MODEM/ROUTER. unless you have a stand alone modem and daisy chain it, it will only protect 1 pc. from Radioshack.com I first thougt AlphaShield was a router, it is not.
