I think it's funny that this is being sold for so much, I have the exact same camera and I got it for 8 dollars at GoodWill. It is a much better/cheaper idea to just try and find a Polaroid at at a thrift shop than buying one online from Amazon.com way cheaper setup than the $1200 photo booth and way cooler! i love the camera. i loved looking through old albums of my parents full of polaroids, captions fading on the white bottom strip... it's a modern day relic from my past :) from Amazon.com It is just an old simple polaroid camera. The only problem now, is trying to find film for it. from Amazon.com There was some sort of screw up with the postal service and they claim the package was delivered, but I have yet to receive it and it's now been four weeks. I know the company I bought it from can't really do much because there end of the purchase was apparently technically fulfilled, but I have yet to receive the package and all they told me was it was marked as received and if someone stole it then thats a federal crime. HOWEVER, Polaroid is discontinuing manufacture and sale of its instant cameras and film. Unlike other cameras such as Kodak, Canon, and Vivitar, it is self-protected when you close the front top hood down. from Amazon.com They get a real kick out of seeing the picture develop before their eyes -- just can't be beat by a digital camera. The pictures are _not_ of the quality of a decent point-and-shoot digital camera, but how many digital cameras cost $40 and how many give pictures _instantly_? And the Polaroid pics have a quality of their own which is hard to find in the digital world. As of mid-March, the word is that _no one_ is interested in licensing the Polaroid technology (though Polaroid has indicated that they are happy to license it out). from Amazon.com We bought this camera for a cub scout event. We were holding a sign-up night and had the kids making picture frames. We took pictures of the kids with the polaroid and sent them home with a framed picture of themselves from their first night in cub scouts.
