DO NOT BUY THE C9.
I love my Impressa C9, it makes wonderful cappuccino without having to manually froth, but I must say the settings and instructions are quite opaque.
Jura-Capresso seems to have much better customer service and warranties than its competitors as an added bonus.
The C9 is the coffee lover's dream.
This is my second fully automatic espresso maker.
Extremely pleased with this coffee maker, I use it for a making single high quality cups of coffee.
I love, love, LOVE my Bialetti Espresso Maker.
It makes very good espresso (want to improve the taste - improve the coffee you use), I think better but at least as good as the machines costing up to 5X as much.
It makes good coffee, but coffee grinds get stuck in the rubber gasket and no matter how much scrubbing and soaking I do they won't come out.
Just as the smaller version this stovetop maker produces delectable espresso in the morning.
First one didn't work at all, took it back.
It started out well enough, I just had to make sure I don't over-fill the cup with water and a cup of hot chocoalate was ready in minutes, although it was not the easiest task in the world to clean the thing afterwards.
I was excited to get this for Christmas, but the mixer on the bottom doesn't spin unless the mug is placed at a specific point in the base.
I contacted the company they offered to replace it only if I shipped it to them at my cost.
I wanted just a basic coffee maker with a thermal carafe--no frills, just good hot coffee.
This is a good buy for the buck.
I have used many Krups products and rely on them UNTIL I purchased this thermal coffeemaker.
I have owned Krups appliances for years and must say that their quality has steadily, sometimes precipitously, declined.
The design is terrible and it can barely brew coffee.
Our office got this coffee maker to replace one that was working fine before (?!) and I HATE it.
The one-way valve on the underside of the lid does not always open properly causing the coffee to backup on top of the lid and eventually spilling over on to the counter top (big mess).
However, the biggest complaint I have is that it does not get the espresso hot enough.
Easy to use and makes a great cup of expresso.
It may just be the machine that I got but it's just not getting the espresso hot enough and regardless of how fine I grind and tamp the espresso I can not get the machine to produce a crema that covers the top of the espresso.
Pros: Easy To Clean, Easy To Use Bottom Line: recommended Rubber cover for the milk foamer clogs constantly and is hard to clean ...
I dont like the quality of the espresso but the frother is pretty good once you take the black rubber thing off.
I've researched and waited for about 1 year before committing to this machine.
it tells you when to add water, beans and when to empty grounds so you don't have to be a barista to have great coffee!
the machine has had a lot of use over the past few weeks with family and friends visiting.
the e9 makes perfect cappuccino's.
pros: attractive looking, best tasting coffee ever, easy to clean, easy to use, great taste, large water storage container, professional, quick brewing best uses: anytime, kitchen, morning coffee
pros: easy to use, large water storage container, professional, quick brewing cons: noisy best uses: morning coffee, office
you do need to beware of dripping from the bottom of the portafilter onto the machine base and on the counter when taking it out to clean.
i finally bit the bullet and purchased one for our home.
the priming of the pump was a bit frustrating but quickly figured it out and was off and running with great coffee drinks from my own kitchen.
i've had a lot of espresso machines over the last 20 years, both at home for personal use and also in a small office, and this is definitely one of the better quality machines i've had.
my wife used to live at starbucks, now she has it at home.
would recommend it for someone looking for an office coffee maker at their desk or at home if you just want one cup of fast brewed coffee.
it is easy to clean after it cools and prepare it for the next cup.
what i like about this coffemaker is that it is red so you can see in it well to clean it (although i saw nothing to clean in the 3 months i had it) and also the outside is easy to clean because any
the idea of a single cup maker is great.
by the third time that i used it, i noticed that there were coffee grinds in the water dispenser, and it's hard to clean out.
