anytime a coffee lover comes to the house she offers a cup.
pros: easy to use/makes excellent cappuccino
a conventional machine could never be used in your office or company kitchen, but a nespresso machine works out very nicely in that situation.
conventional machine: you have to have fresh beans, you have to have an expensive burr grinder (more counter space, more to clean, more to break down), you have to get the fineness of the grind
I bought the D250 for my wife.
it works great, makes wonderful espresso, fantastic lattes (my fave), and it's easy to clean and completely reliable.
this is good for an average home user who wants to make espresso or latte's without paying $4 for a shot.
this is a good starter unit for the home espresso maker, but if you are an exsperinced espresso maker, you might want one with more frills.
-easy to clean
finally last week, it exploded andthe steam spout shot clear across my kitchen.
some suggestions on getting the most out of this machine and making espresso drinks at home: first, you must have the proper grinder, one that will grind the beans to the fineness they need to be for
i decided i wanted my own espresso maker at home to work with, and since i wasn't ready to fork over $500 for gaggia, i decided to go entry level.
first, and foremost, this machine uses the same italian made "ulka" pump that are used in many expensive home espresso machines.

It's so easy to use and makes great espresso in just a few minutes.
But espresso is supposedly taken in itty bitty cups (shot glasses with handles), hence the smallness.
its small compared to the vienna i used to have, and fits easily in my kitchen.
the machine is piece of cake to clean.
i spend an hour following saeco's instructions to clean the grinder, and after a 4-8 cups of coffee, it jams again.
The Saeco Easy Espresso machine was given to me as a gift.
Although this machine doesn't have the extra features, bells and whistles of some of the more expensive machines, it makes an excellent product, and is easy to use and clean.
I was unhappy with the Espremio machine as it was only good for making one small Espresso at a time and its coffee bowl was not large enought for even getting enough coffee to make a good capuccino.
That's probably a good thing, so you can stop the machine before it walks off the edge.
Everything I've said about the brilliance of this machine is contingent, howver, on the coffee grinder.
Thus began the search for the least expensive espresso machine that made a decent shot of espresso.....
....
I bought my Giotto Premium Machine about ten months ago and it is fantastic.
I have had my Giotto for 6 years -- it is the original version -- and thanks to Jim and everyone at 1st-Line, it is still going strong.
I have owned my Giotto now over 2 months and love it.
I own both and have to say that the Giotto Premium is my hands down favorite.

pros: perfect home brewer the best by far
the only downside is that it is not dishwasher friendly and it is a little more work to put together but the final product is well worth it.
i still enjoy my zarafina tea maker suite immensely; it gets more use than any other appliance in my kitchen.
i am addicted to kitchen gadgets, and own an nespresso machine for espresso drinks, a keurig machine for coffee, and now this machine for tea.
it arrives beautifully packaged and looks great on the kitchen counter.
i got the unit home, unpackaged it - terrific packaging, by the way - and set it up.
