this is a great way to make your own cappuccinos at home, without having to fiddle with an espresso machine and a separate frother.
when i get home in the evening, i take the machine apart and clean it.
i received the bialetti 1-cup electric mukka express cappuccino maker after a very disappointing experience with krups latest item.
(i've found that you need to screw the top part on very tightly!) also, it produces approximately *one* small cup at a time, which could be a deciding factor for some people.
i have made cappuccino with the electric using coffee that i ground myself using the "finest" setting on the coffee mill.
Great machine,, easy to use.
Have used this machine for a week now, and am hooked on its operation.
The Delonghi did not have good customer service at all.
I hate to rain on the positive review parade - but this machine isn't worth 5 stars (maybe 4, depending on the price you get it for).
I have had this espresso machine for a month and a half now.
easy to clean.
after getting it home, i realized that the really weak link in this product is the instruction manual.
it's easy to prepare and easy to clean.
its perfect for me, as im the only coffee drinker in our family.
ok, in my family, i am the only one who drinks coffee.
i learned from a barista in rome that lattes and cappuccinos do not have to be loaded with chocolate or caramel to taste sweet and delicious.
i ended up getting the delonghi esam3300 which is the same price, slightly larger, but makes much better coffee out of the gate.
I am happy to say we got rid of our leaky, poorly functioning gaggia espresso machine which set us back $300 just this past Christmas and replaced it with this easy to use, programmable espresso machine.
I ordered this machine after review numerous others.
I really like the size of this coffee maker - very small!
press to be able to enjoy my loose-leaf teas away from home without needing much space in my suitcase for teaware and tea equipment because anything provided by a hotel or motel is likely to smell
a larger cup would make more sense, since there is about two ounces of space at the bottom where the grounds, tea, and water sit, making this a very small serving.
elegant design, ease of use, (form follows function), coffee is smooth, never bitter, takes a little adjusting (watch those grounds and adjust for larger cup size) but once you get it dialed in a

I love the clean aesthetic of the shin bistro, the size is perfect for serving one: me, and most importantly the flavor of the coffee is exquisite with an amazing crema coffee foam on top.
it makes 4 american cups of coffee (carafe capacity = 40.5oz.) this is not a coffeemaker for a household of two or more serious coffee drinkers.
as for the 10-12 cup capacity claimed, that would be european 4oz.
pros: brews quickly, easy to clean cons: coffee doesn't stay hot, coffee goes everywhere, limited features, loud, when you pour best uses: everyday describe yourself: everyday

This coffee maker is poorly designed and the carafe drips, no pours down the front of the carafe when attempting to pour a cup of coffee.
makes great espresso and froths milk for cappuccino like a champ.
this machine is huge, i couldn't fit it on my under my kitchen shelves!
the thermocream disc is a pain to fit into the filter ring, the silicon ring gets away from you while cleaning the filter, you must be careful it does no go down the drain.
pros: inexpensive 15 bar pump, large water storage container cons: hard to clean, noisy best uses: kitchen, morning coffee
I upgraded from a very cheap little steam-only machine with no pump, and the cafe chic certainly makes better espresso than that.
oh krups, we appreciated low budget home espresso, but really!!!
it sputters and sounds like it's going to blow up - and delivers coffee and steamed milk that i have to heat up in the microwave to warm my cappuccinos up!
i've made great cappuccino for many years using a similar machine.
at the beginning it took 2-3 minutes to make a cappuccino and then when the problems started it took more then 20 minutes...
1.the new steam nozzle is not easier to clean.
I have used many Krups products and rely on them UNTIL I purchased this thermal coffeemaker.
I have owned Krups appliances for years and must say that their quality has steadily, sometimes precipitously, declined.
The design is terrible and it can barely brew coffee.
Our office got this coffee maker to replace one that was working fine before (?!) and I HATE it.
The one-way valve on the underside of the lid does not always open properly causing the coffee to backup on top of the lid and eventually spilling over on to the counter top (big mess).
However, the biggest complaint I have is that it does not get the espresso hot enough.
Easy to use and makes a great cup of expresso.
It may just be the machine that I got but it's just not getting the espresso hot enough and regardless of how fine I grind and tamp the espresso I can not get the machine to produce a crema that covers the top of the espresso.
Pros: Easy To Clean, Easy To Use Bottom Line: recommended Rubber cover for the milk foamer clogs constantly and is hard to clean ...
I dont like the quality of the espresso but the frother is pretty good once you take the black rubber thing off.
I've researched and waited for about 1 year before committing to this machine.
Honestly, if I hadn't been exposed to this at a relatives house, I know that I would not have purchased it.
