Makes a very nice pot of coffee and I do enjoy being able to vary the brewing strength, BUT if you have the misfortune of breaking the carafe you are going to have to jump in and out of a few hoops to find a replacement. Nowhere online could a replacement carafe (orignal manufacturer or third party) be found. Emailed Oster but did not get a reply from them for help. Called and they were out of replacement parts for their own product! from Amazon.com I just purchased the Oster Counterforms 12 cup Programmable coffeemaker.
