I just installed this fan and I must say if you are REPLACING a 36" fan with a down-rod type (the fan hangs down from a rod) this 42" hugger fan may look smaller than it, untill you get use to it. It took me three days of in and out of my daughters bedroom to finally start seeing a difference. from Amazon.com This fan is in a small bedroom. Actually, the candelabra base give them a nicer and fancier appearance. obviously this fan not only has the looks of a much fancier ceiling fan but it is also stable and has a great price.
