I am very happy with this pruduct. I have purchased many ceiling fans in the past, usually from Home Depot or Lowes. Even thier high end fans could not match the quality of this fan. from Csnlighting.com We had a Hampton Bay 48 inch outdoor fan from Home Depot up but wanted a wider radius. The 48 inch fan had great RPM's and a great wind/breeze maker but was just not wide enough to cover our deck at the lake. So we opted for this 60 inch outdoor fan. We went to install it, on a 4 foot down pole, like the Hampton Bay 48 inch and found, unlike all other standard fans, it takes a 1/2 inch rod instead of the industry standard 3/8's inch rod. from Amazon.com I bought this particular Monte Carlo fan a few days ago. I have a vaulted ceiling that is 16 feet high and it gets pretty hot in there. from Amazon.com I have the indoor model in my living room over one year now and it looks stellar! It is a huge fan but looks right in proportion if you mount it on 9 to 10 foot ceilings. Looks nice on my outdoor patio ceiling.
