my 9yr old daughter wanted this game ..because she played it at her friends house ..she loves it.
daughter loved the game and plays it often.
i bought pets 5 for my 4 year old son and he loves it.
it is a good game, and its good for kids because it teaches them how to take care of pets.
i purchased this game for my 13 year old daughter and it has provided her with hours!!!!
i think this is a great product; although, i'm not sure a child use to high graphics and speed would have the patience to play it.
our older son plays it at level 3 or 4, and our little one (four years old) plays it at level 1 with a bit of help.
this is a fun game and my daughter loves it.
this program was exactly what i had hoped it would be.
i'm using it with third-grade students, and they are frequently challenged.
for other games, it was more of "nancy is here to kind of investigate" or "something terrible happened, so vacation is canceled and time to sleuth." also, the beginning of the game is thrilling
i would recommend this to adults as well as kids because it's challenging on all levels.
my daughters have played the entire series and it usually takes them a while to finish a game.
this game is truly fantastic and a joy to play, although i reccomend it for older girls/teens/adults because some of the puzzles are difficult.
even though the idea of a teenager working for the government is highly unlikely, you were somehow able to believe it in this game!
it is probably fine for kids and for beginners though.
i found that my son will type with this program and improve his typing techniques and times, but only once i made it a pre-requisite before he could do anything else on the computer--each time.
i got this for my 6 year old son and he had no issues in using it.
it's easy to use and works with vista.
probably works better for kids than adults wish i had gotten typing master pro, i downloaded the demo it seems like it would help me more.
this is a great product, i have tried many typing programs, 4 in total, because typing is very difficult for me (and i'm picky!) and this is the best i've tried so far.
the kids like it so much many ask where they can buy one to use at home.
mavis beacon makes you start from the beginning, and will not let you go back or review lessons, also the design and format are very poor, the word for it is "garbagey".
was worried initially, but pleasantly surprised to find that it was exceptional and simple to use.
i bought this for my 16 yo son who types with 2 fingers.
being that it has such a great price point and maintains a high interest level with the kids i would most certainly recommend this to someone who is considering this product.
my daughter loved the game and has played it three times over.
i like it because it teaches great memory , following directions, navigation, concentration and patience skills.
this game was great for anyone from kids to grandparents..
i like the i spy tresure hunt better but this one is still fun for kids.
it's unfortunate that your child was unable to enjoy didi & ditto because of a technical problem you had with your computer.
my son's use of it has sharpened his learning skills - without him knowing it.
because there are so many activities in this software, and with the entertainment value it provides, i can easily see him using this program over the next two years to help him be well prepared for
it helps to develop their cognitive skills and patience as one of my girls has a problem with concentration but found through the problem solving activities that she is overcoming these difficulties.
there is one part where you have to ride a cart down a mountain and click buttons to duck or jump, which i think is pretty hard for little ones (it actually took me a couple of tries to make it down
this product was worth what i paid for it, all of my children enjoy the software.
this spongebob has been a good substitute, my younger kids have enjoyed it, and that is the important thing with getting them to practice.
this is finally a typing game i have found that every kid i've seen try it loves it.
my 7yo son immediately wanted it.
it seems like if i just keep showing interests this game and my child's progress with it she'll probably continue to grow in her typing skill.
it walks you right through the basics and more advanced areas of each product.
if you need some advanced help, you probably won't find it here, but if you need to learn a new program from scratch or just want to know some more efficient methods to use it, it will work just fine.
i have not used the complete program but it is good so far with its expla tions.
it starts off assuming you hardly even know what the keyboard is, so for most 3 disc lessons, if your reading this you can probably skip the first disc.
this is a good beginning course if you know nothing about office.
it's a fun game that kids will enjoy!
i think that this game is very educational and challenging at the same time.
we gave this one to my son (he's gifted) who is in second grade and he installed it without our help, was running it while we slept on christmas day.
this is the coolest cd-rom you will ever invest in your child's education.
i love how this comes with 3 cd roms so my daughter won't get bored with one.
my daughter loved this "game" and it helped her with reading, she liked the creative side too and the rewards of going to the parade at the end.
it was very simple for her to master her way around without little help from myself.
kids learn while playing.
this game was purchased for a young girl aged 4 years 8 mo.
this game is awesome and teaches kids phonics, letter recognition, matching, numbers, and they don't even know they are learning becuase they are having fun.
strengths: it has lightning fast reception from my laptop and works within anywhere in my home; even outdoors up to 1100 feet.
even novice users are better off without it, especially if you can find someone who can assist you.
it was easy to install, plugged everything in and no problem.
strengths: -ease of use, great set-up (hint: don't use the cd) -value for the dollar weaknesses: none yet summary: i'm a 5 year veteran in it.
router is mounted upstairs under the desk (upsidedown) and my signal strength with this router is 80 - 85 being downstairs in the opposite end of my house.
very cool program and it has been a great help.
but i wrote a midi file in 9/8 time and when i import it using this program, it comes out sounding all wrong.
this program has already helped me, and i've just begun to explore it.
the interface employing a talking microphone, a singing squid, and the cute-and-sassy "carry a tune" female student character is clearly geared for children, but it's certainly fine for teens and
1) you can choose from a variety of easy/med/difficult songs; it might be pretty easy to sing "hot cross buns" but not so the more challenging songs;
we were surprised to see how easy it was to follow along with the cd to learn notes and cords, how to tune, how to hold a guitar, all the basics for right and left handed players.
i bought this for my son who is seven...i was shocked how beautiful this guitar was when i got it....it has such a nice sound to it and is well made....i would definitely recommend this guitar to any
i would definitely recommend this to any beginner.
i bought this for my 11 year old son for christmas.
It comes with everything you need to start to learn the guitar.
easy, interesting, a lot of fun, anybody would like if you have a sense of humor.
my sons, ages 12 & 10, are using this product.
it can be hard for a child to type the same section over and over until he reaches 15 wpm, but it is well worth the effort.
kids, adults, it's fun and they love to do it.
both my kids ages 8 and 12 used it.
it starts off as easyas you want or as hard as you want.
has both kids and adults sections...
we have bought mavis beacon for kids and had nothing but trouble.
this was the second time that i bought this program.
in this computer age, it's important for kids to learn how to type well and this is the program to help them accomplish that goal.
the activities include a memory matching game, basic addition and subtraction, beginning and ending word sound recognition, lowercase alphabet recognition, rhyming and pattern recognition.
my daughter and i love this game, which is very high quality.
the goal for the kids to collect animals for the new mcgrew zoo.
my child has played longer on this game than on any other including jumpstart.
i just bought 14 educational software games for my young kids and all but this one run, as promised, on windows xp.
this product is great it was super easy to set up but of course i had to fine tune it to be personalized.
i have a harmony 980 remote, and was using it in the den to operate my home theather system, and xbox 360.
just follow instructions carefully and it will work the first time......i got nothing negative to say about this devise.
no, the setup is kind of a pain, but once you do it the first time it is a cinch afterwards.
i am a young kid and all i did was put a cd that it came with into my laptop sat infront of it for a bit and it downloaded the software and everything.
i love the voice pronunciations, and it's easy to add to your garmin.
this is easy to use and very usefull
it's only difficulty lies in the fact that one cannot use the current operating system of the garmin 750.
i didn't find the translator that easy to use for english to german.
after the last update (by garmin) to the operating system of my nuvi 770 the language guide lost much of its functionality.
i do, however, have to agree with other reviews in that it is not for children.
when i tried this program out, i at first had some trouble running it.
