while the hd pic is incredible, what really impressed me was the upconversion of standard-def dvds you would be hard pressed to tellthe difference!

two other minor complaints - the power cord is hard wired so you can't upgrade it - and the unit doesn't come with an hdmi cable.

i believe there is a timing and/or bandwidth issue with either the firmware or hardware.

i will be returning my unit, and replace with a playstation 3, that costs a bit more, but it offers much more -- including better performance, wireless, a 40g hard drive, and excellent reviews.
