after connecting the ethernet cord to the dvd player and my wireless router, i unplugged the router and plugged it back in to reboot and i was able to get a connection.

i also wish that i could see the settings on the rj-45 ethernet port such as speed/duplex as i guess it is only auto as there appears to be no settings in the menus, only dhcp or static ip settings.

you have to buy a hdmi and ethernet cable so if you get a nice combination offer take it.

even though the manufacturer says that the player must be hooked up directly to your ethernet, it doesn't.

not much but significant i feel is the lack of a wifi interface that will make it challenging to connect the unit to the internet for anyone that doesn't have an ethernet cable running to their
