when i pop a dvd in, it actually "finds" the input source from my surround sound 5.1 system and just starts playing the movie.

when you put a disk into the player, it loads pretty quickly, the tv automatically recognizes the player as being in use, and switches to the blue ray input on the tv for you.

i purchased this model over the bd60k due to having an older receiver with 5.1 analog inputs wanting to take advantage of the new hd dts and hd dolby digital codecs.

other thoughts: tech support doesn't understand that if a receiver does not have any hdmi inputs or switching, you cannot connect the player's hdmi output to the receiver, for crying out loud.
