the only fault i found was that when the recorder hit a snag in the vhs tape it would stop recording and create a chapter on the dvd.

you'll just have to remember where you left at by hitting the status button to show you the chapter it's currently at or i think there is a bookmark feature but it hasn't worked for me as of yet.
