Cnet you all are so wrong when it comes to this player. First of all panasonic doesent even do firmware upgrades through a firmware they do it through a cd or dvd. so you really dont need an ethernet

it.i had to purchase a fiber optic cable to hook up my panasonic 5.1 home theater system to it in order to get the true dolby sound which was very easy to hook up.i am very happy with the player.
