I have had my Yamaha DVD-C750 for almost a month now and have had no problems with it. Although I have not tried EVERY type of disk it claims to play, the more typical DVD's and CD's play just fine. from Crutchfield.com THIS NEGATIVE REPORT DEALS ONLY WITH THE MALFUNCTION OF THE YAMAHA DVD-C750 [[NOT]] THE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE PROVIDED BY CRUTCHFIELD! I went through [2] of these before opting for the DENON DVM-2845 [One of my neighbors has this and loves it!]. from Crutchfield.com This thing randomly freezes on startup and is sloooow to load disks. I like that it plays any disc you throw into it, you just age ten years while waiting for them to load. It's also a nightmare to get it to work with a harmony remote(which are the best remotes out there imo) Avoid this song and get a Panasonic when it comes to DVD players. from Crutchfield.com Plays many different formats. As a student of Musical Theatre, Opera, Classical vocal and choral literature, and Jazz and Classical piano, DVD-AUDIO and SACD capabilities are of great importance to me because there are a lot of titles especially in the Classical genre available in these formats.
