I made it work by changing settings, swapping cables or HDMI ports. But it would work for a day and quit the next, and previous fix won't work again. I called LG support, the first support was not helpful and very sloppy in her communication. She did not solve the problem. from Amazon.com This is a terrific BD payer. After powering off and on the update worked fine. Ironically we haven't played a Blu-Ray disk yet - I don't anticipate owning a lot of those given Netflix's service, but I did add Blu-Ray to Netflix for $4/month.
