Said it was "refurbished" but it looks BRAND NEW! in the Yamaha box with all paperwork, remote, warranty card, etc. from Overstock.com Awesome player. Originally, its coming with v56 firmware, witch it will give you problems for listening to dvd-audio discs. But if you upgrade the firmware to v58witch is pretty simple to do you will have a super universal dvd player, revealing sounds and notes that you didnt know you have on your discs. from Vanns.com I bought this to replace an old, well worn Sony NS-900V which stopped reading the SACD layer on hybrid titles. This unit is a bargain. from Crutchfield.com In shop many times, takes long time to read disc sometimes won't read at all says " no disc" finally told me board was bad after warranty was up. Yamaha service sucks from Amazon.com Yamaha touts this as a universal player however it has a very hard time tracking dvd-rs, SACD and other formats.
