This was my first portable DVD player, so I could'nt compare it to anything else. But overall it seems to be good, no problems with it. from Crutchfield.com I always read these reviews before I purchase anything, so I hope my review will help some one. I bought two of these Toshiba portable DVD players for a trip from NJ to Myrtle Beach, SC for vacation. from Crutchfield.com The TOSHIBA SD-P71S has provided excellent resolution for all DVD's played. Portability has been a real asset in that I use the player outdoors and in the shop to view instructional DVD's and educational DVD's. from Crutchfield.com I purchased this product last year with the intention of using it while traveling, during power outages, and while waiting for appointments. Over the last year I probably used it 5 times. from Amazon.com Works as advertised. Wish there was a power button on the remote as it times out sometimes when paused and you have to get up & turn it off & then back on.
