and then i realized that the same is true for many well respected audio and video companies when it comes to dvd and blu ray. from Amazon.com since it was such a good buy and i wanted to make my wife happy, i decided that i would try it out on some of the blu ray discs i had received. from Amazon.com It did not want to play Batman & 310 to Yuma. I downloaded the filmware from memorex web site, installed it and it works great. Excellent picture easy to use and good quality.
The only thing I from Amazon.com only negative is the seemingly long star-up time (compared to my old dvd), but this may not be unusual for blu ray...especially a low-cost machine. from Amazon.com i got this blu-ray player for x-mas and it works great. from Amazon.com blu-ray dvd's look great and load fast but when you start up the unit, you have to wait about 30 seconds for it to 'load' even if the slot is empty. from Amazon.com it may not have all the super technical things some techno geeks complain about, but it played blu-ray on my panasonic 46" 1080p plasma (using hdmi cables of course) brilliantly. from Amazon.com For the budget price ($145), I was quite surprised to receive a player in some of the nicest packaging I've seen, and with a nice weight to the player itself. Build quality feels quite good, and it from Amazon.com the software updates are mostly a result of the blu-ray disc manufacturers coming out with a new flavor of copy protection each week. from Amazon.com This player was a great price, and for the most part would get a good review. But I did have to upgrade the firmware, available on the Memorex website, to watch certain movies. from Amazon.com
