Also, if the TV is off, guess what it will record? That's right - nothing. Screwiest, craziest VCR we've ever owned, but as I speak it is being taken back for a refund. Since VCR's don't have a history of longevity, I was not wanting to spend more than I had to. We weren't able to use is on our old TV, but if we had a new TV, it would have been great. from Amazon.com We use cable and there is no co-axial screw-in, so you have send the signal through the TV and then into this unit another way.
