This would have been the perfect replacement for my old dvd/vhs recorder except for one major problem. It does not allow you to record ANYTHING that is copy protected video. from Amazon.com I researched DVD/VCR Recorders and read all the reviews before I purchased this unit. In setting it up I discovered that you can't use Timer Recording if you have a cable box. from Amazon.com Bought this for my Mother who wanted a easy to use system in her home. However the remote control SUCKS!!! There's NO previous button, can't jump between the last 2 channels.
