Mostly it has stopped reading any kind of disk for playback and now will no longer record or finalize disks. The DV deck works well for playback and interacts well with final cut pro for logging video. It looked promising in the catalog but I'm disappointed with the quality from JVC. from Bhphotovideo.com I've been using the DVM-700US since late August with great results.
