We originally purchased the DVD player in 2006 and within 6 months it quit working and this model was our replacement. Now, 6 months later it too has quit working and of course there is a CD in it.

the dvd is great i had it over a year now and its still working perfectly fine. I recommend this dvd player to a friend and she loved it. And It's a great deal cause it doesn't cost much. HIGHLY

I bought this at Target, not Amazon, so I can't be sure it's the same player, but the MVD2050 from Memorex (with HDMI output and a card reader) is emphatically not worth the $50 I payed.
