sometimes i found the game to be a bit too difficult and had to grind for hours to level my characters for the next major battle.
the cgi sequences, voices, and overall 3d character and environment rendering are top-notch for a ds game.
everything that you remember from the original is here, all of the characters look perfect, the voices fit them, the layout of the towns is exactly the same as it was, even the treasure chests are in
this game has everything a fan of final fantasy could want; good characters, good storyline, and the same spells that we are used to.
from the very first scene the player will see, a beautifully rendered opening of the red barons and the main character, to the very end, this game brings about a warm feeling of satisfaction.
once you get beyond a level in "story mode," another "free play" mode is unlocked which allows you to go through the level again with different characters.
oh, there's only one thing i don't like about the game, it's annoying that you have to switch between the characters because some have special abilites.
the lego characters just break and come back to "life." it's great!
you are able as you progress through the game to pick up and play as other characters in free play mode.
by collecting artifacts and other available items, you unlock more features of the game like the ability to utilize other characters in "free play" mode.
the game features a brand new story path with new characters and worlds to explore.
the characters might get on your nerves at first, but the voice acting gets much better once you get used to it (with some notable duds; i'm looking at you dirk).
they basically replaced it with magic points...most characters have certain moves which when used depletes some of your magic points.
- the hand drawn locales are eye-popping and the 3d chibi characters are cute but kick butt cute!
the story, the characters, the animated cut-scenes, every thing here is very slick, and i'm not disappointed in anyway.
the game is very re-playable - different characters become pivotal, and the item lists change each time.
thoughout the game you meet different characters and you have to look and search for different objects in each of the different scenes they give you.
this is my type of game - none of the running around as the character jumping and fighting, etc.
there are three levels of play for the story mode: rookie (non-timed), detective (timed by character), and gumshoe (30 seconds per item).
the problems are that the only real difference between each level is a decrease in time to locate items, a limited number of hints, and a twist in characters, as to who the heirs and villains are.
i enjoyed the cute character design that is typical for japanese anime games [those who have seen the anime 'hoshi no kirby'[known in the usa as kirby!right back at ya!] will recognize some of the
kirby is my 8-year old son's favorite video game character.
player 2 can control the "helper" character with player 2's nintendo ds, but looking over someone else's shoulder playing a game is not very fun.
all the characters are more cute than scary.
it can be hilarious as you interact with the characters through the mistakes you make or the successes that allow you to pass each level.
mostly the game consists of 10 different levels (each with 4 stages and 1 remix round) with different songs and different characters where you have to tap or flick your stylus along to the right beat
the characters are engaging and fun.
better graphics, a new addition to the storyline with the pokemon giratina, couple new characters, better wifi, and so on.
some places have been redesigned, and there are new characters.
-new characters: international policeman looker and galactic commander charon

yes, you can change your character's hair and clothes.
it's more like princess debut, with perky anime characters, costumes to choose from, and rhythm-based gameplay.
along the way you'll unlock fake magazines that your character can read for hints, cheat codes to make the challenges presented to you easier, or previews of the games you'll be playing later.
if a game is giving you trouble, your character can scoot on over to the bookshelf, thumb through a recent gaming mag, and get a hint, or a cheat, or just enjoy the humourous writing in the magazine.
