A clever collection of FULL 8-bit original games set in an 80s time-travel pastiche.
Ah, the good ol' days, when simple sprites and "bleep" and "bloop" sound effects were as good as it got, when nobody complained about spending top-dollar on a platforming game that could be beaten in 30-minutes, when adding new levels and an increase...
Everyone needs to buy this game it's a perfect portable game with the greatest concept ever, a compilation collection of retro games that never existed.
For all of you that grew up in the 80s, this game is an incredible blast from the past.
I absolutely adore this game; the only reason I've rated it less than it deserves is to get the reader's attention via "the most helpful critical review." Rather than write yet another positive review about this awesome game, I'd like to issue a chal...
we got this game for our grand son and he love playing it.
lets see....you get dialga and palkia in this game, about half the gyms got revamped with new graphics & style (pretty much most of the game has gotten additions & some texture changes), all the
the game itself is certainly enjoyable; you can easily get about 60-80 hours of gameplay, assuming you don't just rush to get it finished.
this may sound weird but i think it plays smoother than diamond and pearl.
my son loves this game, suitable for young game players and hours upon hours of fun!
i live in az and my grand daughter lives in in, my daughter said that she loves this game and it is the perfect motivator to get her to clean up her room.
although i thought it sounded a bit young for him, it's a pretty detailed game and he loves it.
i love the graphics and game play about it.
comes to the ds in style thankfully, leaving all the problems of the last lego-based ds game (lego star wars ii: the original trilogy) behind, even though it uses that game's graphics engine.
it's overall a smaller game, but it does at least share many similar qualities in the gameplay department.
i got this game for my kids and found that i enjoy it too.
great game, my daughter (12) and i love it.
it is an easy game to operate even my 7 and 8 year old boys can play it.
i'm no kid, but i love this game, it uses your brain, and rewards your efforts.
if you are reading these reviews and thinking that it is a kids game and therefore not sure if you want to play it, let me assure you that this game is very much for any age, there seems to be some
My sister introduced it to me, and I started to question if I had 'rhythm', which I know I do..
All the reviews written have described Rhythm Heaven to a "T".
As much as I feel I have no rhythm, this game is great fun.
For the reviewers who rated this game 1 or 2 stars because they can't beat the first stage, you need 28/31, or 90% right to get "OK" (I don't know if this counts for every game).
As soon as I got this, I realized the potential of having music students enhance their rhythm skills through this game, even before they formally learn particular counting patterns in their music studies.
great game - lots of fun activities to keep my son going back to it.
kirby is my 8-year old son's favorite video game character.
my 6 year old son got this for christmas and it became his instant favorite!
still, it's a great buy, especially for children under the age of 12.
up on the block this time is another great nintendo ds game for kids called kirby super star ultra.
i love the lights and sound and if you add the rumble cart (not included) it becomes the most satisfying casual game play ever invented.
it's totally updated, with alot of color, great sound effects, and all that, but it's the same game we loved way back when.
the person i gave this to is young and absolutely loves the game.
the controls are simple with left hand move and right hand shoot and as simple as that sounds it's not.
the "thump thump thump" sounds of the invaders, and their iconic look are known by almost everyone, but the old game is slow and tedious.
i got this for my 11 year old daughter and she had lots of fun with it except when she got to the "state competition".
imagine: figure skater is a fun game for when you're bored and want to play something simple.
it's cute but the graphics really need to be worked on.
the gameplay is nice, but does tend to get more difficult as you progress through the game.
it's more like princess debut, with perky anime characters, costumes to choose from, and rhythm-based gameplay.
but this new adaptation of the game is just awesome, it keeps all the fun of the original plus adds voice acting and great graphics for the ds.
it has updated graphics that give it a ps1, n64 feel to the game.
in 2006, the game was re-released for the game boy advance, under the name, "final fantasy iv advance".
the musical score in this game is more enhanced while not changing the "classic" music itself.
the music has all been redone, but fear not, it's the same as it ever was, only better!
I have a college minor in math, and this game can be challenging no matter what your level, because it pushes you to improve your accuracy and your speed.
I bought this for my 8 year old grandaughter.
I bought this for my 9 yr old son to use instead of flashcards.
I bought this for my going to the fourth grade boy to keep his math skills sharp over the summer and he is enjoying it.
If your child gets motivated by trying to beat their score, this is the game for them.
this is a great game and my son loves it.
it was not easy but she has opened all the dinosaurs in the game.
my son has had this game for over a year (6 year old) and he plays it just as much as he ever has.
it teaches hand control because you have to trace various patterns throughout the game in order to win your battles which can range from other dinosaurs, tanks or even telephone booths.
my son has been playing this game ever since i bought it for him for his birthday.
my 8 year old daughter received this game for easter and hasn't stopped playing it since.
i figured since i liked those then i would definitely like this game, boy was i right.
the format isn't greatly different from them, it's still very easy to pick up and figure out.
the developers have been consistent with the look and gameplay of the series, which keeps it familiar yet still refreshing.
if your kids love cooking mama - you must buy them gardening mama!
The graphics are truly excellent for a DS game, one of the best looking games on the system.
Definitely one of the best soundtracks of any ds game.
yes, one of few RPG on the ds, simply stop reading and go buy it!
Although, if you've been playing for ten hours and the game still seems dreadful to you, then you must have purchased the wrong game.
I have a DS and of course, this game.
(parent & child co-review): I bought this for my 3rd grade son who has been doing Club Penguin on line for a year.
3 years I've been a Penguin member, and secret agent.
Bought for my daughter for Christmas.
club penguin the vidio game is cool because you can play with your freinds without having to worry about some other rotton penguin tsking his/her spot on a two player game you asked them to play with you like macalaina or treasure hunt or somthing.
Disney's Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force for DS is a great addition to any DS library.
+ Very addictive gameplay
After playing the "Mayan Adventure" game, there was no way that I could come on here and give this game 5 stars.
As the other reviewers noted this is a seek and solve similar to Cate West and MillionHeir.
Disappointed with this game.
First of all, I knew I would like this game, as I have become a fan of PopCap made games, especially Amazing Adventures: The Forgotten Ruins.
A lot of people love this game, but for me it wasn't too much fun.
Great game for tweens who like SIMs type games.
I bought this game for my daughter and she loves it.
I bought this game for my sons who are 7 and 9.
Wish it was a bit more like the My Sims for Wii where you actually get to design the houses, but as a DS game it is very entertaining.
I have seen a growing number of adult games for DS that have really impressed me.
So if you're not into that sort of thing you might not enjoy these Zenses games (I have both Ocean and Rainforest) as much as I do.
I liked the Zenses - Ocean so I had to try Rainforest.
When you get into higher levels (30-40), the game gets harder, until it just presents you with an impossible case, forcing you to just end the game.
Energ-G Gym Rockets is a fun game - when you figure out what to do.
I am an ex gymnast who misses the "glory days" of competing and flying through the air..
I bought this for my daughter who is 8 and a gymnast to go along with her new DS.
I purchased this game for my daughter who loves gymnastics.
I'm a 32 year old female who used to (and still does) fantasize about being a world class gymnast.
As the first LOTR game for DS, this game is pretty great.
Awesome game for the DS.
For me, this game was a little disappointing.
I've spent several hours with this game and I'm just not sure if I'm playing the same game all the other reviewers are.
If you took star wars battlefront ,and added lord of the rings this what you would get .
I have spent way too much money on gaming for the kids, but this disc was very reasonable and now I found a way not to despise all their games.
I purchased this for my granddaughter who is 10 for Christmas.
In Ener-G Horse Rider you are trying to protect your town and the wild horses by winning competitions, which there are only five.
Loved the game, it kept me occupied.
My daughter was able to master the game in three hours.
