This is the best golf game for the Nintendo DS platform. You can play in multiplayer or single player mode. You can practice your skills or take the Tiger Woods challenge. Mini games are challenging but keep a player's interest.
With the prospect of several doctor visits and with each a prolonged stay in the waiting room, I bought this game to take along. I've never owned another golf game, so I can't speak to whether the '08 version is better than its predecessors. And that's what makes my review unique: I'm speaking from a beginner's viewpoint.
Well, I'm new to DS, but I can spot a good game when I see one. TW 08 gives many variations in game play. You can play a match, do challenges, practice the challenges, open WiFi to play online or local net, download/pass play, and last but not least...
The first Tiger Woods Nintendo DS game ('05) was both fun and frustrating. The graphics were mediocre and the gameplay was full of glitches.
Bought the ds version accidentally, was looking for wii. Ended up buying that elsewhere and love the game overall, except for the putting and the tutoring.
I bought this game for my husband, but I've enjoyed it as much as him! I don't even golf, but my competitive nature has come out with this one.
I picked this up for myself to use on my sons' Nintendo DS. I have no interest in playing most of the games they play but they occasionally talk me into a couple rounds of Mario Kart (my 4-year old leaves me in the dust!)
I was having a hard time at first getting used to the game and when I did the game was awesome. I think you should buy the game off amazon because the price is really low.
I was impressed at the options when it comes to customizing your character, but I wish the face was easier to see. It's fun to play golf with the pros programmed into the game, it challanges you to improve while showing you how good the pros REALLY are.
It is a lot of fun even though it is for the Nintendo DS. I have been playing it in Iraq quite a bit.
