Pros: Very nice solid blue case. Came with USB cable. Nice packaging. from Newegg.com popped it in, plugged it in, formatted the HDD and good to go. Cons: it's heavy for an external enclosure, and a little big/thick. won't work without some extra power, the single USB it comes with isn't enough. you'll want to use one of those USB y-cables that split off for extra power. from Newegg.com If I unplug the drive it says backup completed successfully--which it obviously didn't. The enclosure would probably be best used as a shim to level a table or even drink coaster. Other Thoughts: I'll try to make a clone with the source drive in the Apricorn enclosure and the destination in the notebook like another user did and see if that works. Otherwise, it's pretty useless for it's designed purpose and a big fat waste of time. from Newegg.com And the enclosure makes it easy to keep a copy handy on the old hard drive. I believe it is because my drive is a 7200rpm and it requires more juice than a USB port can provide. I used it to upgrade my laptop drive from 60 GB to 120 GB.
