I needed a durable, high mg camera, with good zoom, laden with features, the Sony CyberShot 170 has it all. I carefully researched and studied each camera and model. In my research I found thatthe Carl Zeiss lenses (included in all sony models) are one of the best. I couldn't be happier with the shutter speed (I purchased a new camera because of the horrible lag on my old camera.) This camera takes amazing crystal clear shots in seconds. The price is slightly up there, but much cheaper than an SLR camera with similar results. This camera is the closest you will get to an SLR that is simple and easy to use that will fit comfortably in your pocket. I would not recommend this to a friend!
