The thing you need to know about Nikon is that nothing is simple. Not the cameras, the manuals or getting something repaired. from Buy.com For a pocket camera that you will want to carry everywhere, this is a great choice. My complaints are (1) shutter lag and (2) the lack of depth of field in landscape shots; my SLR makes up for the S50's flaws.
