The external flash permit the quality of picture better especially in dark environment and increse the distance for picture taking the second strong points is this model can use both memory stick and CF card, I hate sony a lot as it force customer to have to use the memory stick instead of other flash memory but this model can handle both CF card and memory stick from Yahoo.com Pros: easy to use, compact, using CF card, external flash Cons: none one of the major strong point of this camera is to permit use external flash with hot spot which are not available with many models at this prices. So unassuming and yet, packed with capabilities only DSLRs have, this pro-sumer V3 allows me to exploit full manual capabilities that you wouldn't normally use if you were just a hobby shooter. from Amazon.com Technology moves so quickly that one year, let alone five, is an eternity.
