I thought it was a little pricey when I bought it for my wife, but it came highly rated. She loves the small size and carries it around much more than I did my old modified C-2020 (which got me a couple of travel photos in the Tampa Tribune back when). The Canon SD550 is a good choice for the money, especially since I didn't want to spend hundreds of extra dollars for some more megapixels.
