I found this release to be unreliable. Bought it about a year ago and, within about 8 months of relatively little use, it failed. I contacted the manufacturer for repair/replacement and they QUICKLY got me a free replacement, and pre-paid postage for the return - no questions asked (well, except for symptoms of the issue). from Amazon.com It works as promised. However, it's built very light (heavy wouldn't be good, either, I know.) and cheaply. from Amazon.com I'm using this remote on a Canon 40D with excellent results.
