great zoom, and i can't tell much qualitydifference in the 'fine' and 'ultrafine' settings, so i use it on 'fine' to get more hours on my 4gig sd card.

- the position of the zoom switch is 'convenient' in that it's right under your index finger, but in practice this means that you accidentally zoom the camcorder.
