the cost might seem like it's not worth it, but the bussiness i started in houston is about mass media and the value of this cameras are splendid, there wouldn't be a way canon com.

i use a fairly inexpensive azden mic and the improvement in sound quality is tremendous.
the dvx 100b is cheaper than the xl2 but you get more features.
the camcorder acts just like an external hard drive when plugged in to your computer, and it's simple as can be to use windows explorer (file manager) to move (copy) the sony's files to your computer.
and ive done a lot of researching on this camcorder and had to debate on it for some time because i definately didnt want to end up with something that was a little expensive and not worth a flip.

the one thing i'd read alot about was the viewfinder lcd screen can be hard to see out in the bright daylight and that is very true with it.

i have had just a point and shoot 2mp for years it was time to update i was little nervous over the price but it is cheaper than buying 2 seperate cameras which was what i was looking at.
moreover its cheaper and more convenient to use the computer's internal dvd writer or external dvd writer than to use this camcorder as a dvd burner.
we used cnet to check out alot and actually ordered off amazon with next day shipping and it was still cheaper than best buy.
it is just the right size and the features are worth the price.

this camcorder has great picture and sound quality,and you can't beat the price offered by amazon so don't bother looking at other sites.
if you want a better one you should buy a high definition camcorder with a higher price.
jvc 330/360 has less than 1 mega pixels and the price difference between the two was not much and i found it was worth spending on the extra resolution for better video quality.
