outdoors the display is so dim it is hard to see.
but you cant down load if you have vista windows, when i e-mailed aiptex about it thay have no cd driver to down load driver for vista windows.
the night time recording is not as good as daytime due to lack of lighting, and it does blur if there is lots of movement.
this camera dose not do good in cold weather well if you just keep it outside like i did lines start to appearwhen it warms back up its like nothing happend..

most of its 'auto' features do an excellent job although if you're not pleased with it, the camera has far more options for adjusting video settings than you'd expect for such a low-cost camera.the
there was a wide variety of lighting during the show (daylight, night time, stage) that all of the examples i had captured were (again) amazingly good.
the video tends to look a little overexposed in outdoor bright light, but i'm trying to figure out how to fix that.

i have had just a point and shoot 2mp for years it was time to update i was little nervous over the price but it is cheaper than buying 2 seperate cameras which was what i was looking at.
moreover its cheaper and more convenient to use the computer's internal dvd writer or external dvd writer than to use this camcorder as a dvd burner.
we used cnet to check out alot and actually ordered off amazon with next day shipping and it was still cheaper than best buy.
it is just the right size and the features are worth the price.
overall i would say it's a quality camcorder at a great price.

this camcorder has great picture and sound quality,and you can't beat the price offered by amazon so don't bother looking at other sites.
if you want a better one you should buy a high definition camcorder with a higher price.
jvc 330/360 has less than 1 mega pixels and the price difference between the two was not much and i found it was worth spending on the extra resolution for better video quality.

extention of mod instead of mpeg but the software that comes with it will decode it or you can just change the format on your hard drive to mpeg and it will play with windows media player just fine.

i use it primarily to film birds and other wildlife.

i use this camera for active sports and for macro imaging of wildlife and it's by far one of the best i've ever owned.
you may find cameras cheaper but not many better at the price.
very obviously better than the performance of my older canon minidv camera and pretty comparable to the look of the images i got from the much more expensive jvc gyhd110u that i'd brought with me.
highest bit rate of all hd camcorders, the tapes are cheap these days and you can use regular tapes just fine, no need for any expensive hd tapes.
the only thing is that the battery doesnt last long, only about 1 hour so i would recommend a second battery but they are expensive.
the bottom line: inexpensive, small, and pretty easy to use except for the stupid menu joystick button.
if you're looking for a good camcorder but budget is keyword...look no further.

it isn't as expensive as some high-end non-hd cameras, though it doesn't have all their advanced features either.
i do wildlife documentaries and the sanyo hd 1000 is able to fit into places my big camera can't go.

i have had many problems with image quality (ex: streaking from indoor lighting/windows, etc) and low light recording is also disappointing.
the power input cover and the memory card cover is too cheapy and i think it can be broken if you don't hadle it carefully.
if you are willing to spend upwards of $600 on a budget camera (rather than restricting yourself to the $300-400 or even lower range), this can be the camera for you.
if you turn it on with the lens cap on then remove it and it is bright outside the f stop will not stop down enough to show proper exposure.
by travelr's tales.wich means the artistic value is kinda missing, the controls feel a little weird at first, also the camera seems akward...so i was not really enjoying this version of crash.
i am very happy to announce that it performed beautifully on my trip - not a glitch, easy to operate (even for me)for the price it's perfect and i couldn't be happier!
check out your local walmart, if instock it will be at a bargain price!
the only 2 downsides: mpeg-4 isn't compatible with windows moviemaker.
need to be aware that windy conditions will be picked up on audio.
