Cheaply made.
I bought this camcorder for a road trip, and I bought it specifically for these features:
I bought this RCA camcorder two weeks ago and am generally pleased with it.
I was really looking forward to this little camera but was very, very disappointed.
The sound and picture quality is horrid, no matter what setting you have it on, HD or not!
1) the new camera is not as sharp in low light situations.
there will probably be such accessories forthcoming but for now, it's tough to take pics or movies in the dark.
this is especially handy for group activities, ship-board video, and indoor video where there is often not enough space to "back up" and get the full subject into the frame.
in lowlight conditions, i prefer the sc hmx-20c (less video noise), but the hmx-h104 is not far behind.
1080i is unusable-- the interlace artifacts are unbearable even in outdoor lighting.
I wanted to do a little experiment so I went out and purchased the RCA EZ200 and the Flip Ultra so I could compare the two side by side.
It is both easy to use and very compact, so easy a child could operate.
The convenience factor is second to none - you won't be shooting a full lenght HD feature film, but you will be capturing memories that are typically gone in a flash.
Not HD but good for the price.
The Small Wonder is a great little gadget for the price.
I am well pleased with the sony hd handy cam.
Calling Sony, they were very nice and offered to check it out but advised me to return it if I could.
In my opinion, the camcorder deserves 4/5 stars.
Very good camcorder, But it is necessary to have very good Computer and HD Television to enjoy it fully.
Cons: awkward to hold, touchy zoom, useless GPS, Sony service
Other than that I love this camra/camcorder!
Bought Sony Webbie, arrived in great condition and on time.
The Sony Webbie is perfect to carry.
I always like Sony's product, this webbie is easy to use and convenience, I specially like the flipping len, which is able to record a greeting of myself and send it to my friend and family.
So I searched online, and ran across the Sony Webbie.
I previously purchased the Sony HDR-FX1 a couple of years ago and when it was time to purchase a second camera to add to my growing video company, I bought the HDR-FX1000 since it was advertised as a better version of the FX1.
With correct manual settings (most important - maximum gain <15dB) it produces excellent picture for poorly lit scenes as well as for scenes under artificial (pure red, blue, green) lightling.
I purchased this camera about two months ago to replace my Sony VX2000.
The largest negative is the location of the hot-shoe in relation to the lcd screen.
I use this product to make videos to post to youtube.com I use this camera to do free-lance wedding gigs.
My wife and I were looking at getting a camcorder to take with us on vacation.
The mini-DV footage was actually better, however, the Panasonic experienced a lot of the same issues as the JVC.
I like the size.
I purchased this camcorder not too long ago from best buy.
I really wanted to love this camera: the size is EXACTLY what I was looking for.
Excellent HD camera by Sony.
Great picture, lots of features and compact.
I have been using a previous generation Sony HDR-SR7 high def 60GB hard drive camcorder and been overall happy with that model.
I have this camcorder for just over three weeks and to date very good performance with minor issues.
I purchased this model directly from Sony Style store after being assured that it would meet my needs.
Hopefully this "review" will be helpful to other Mac users, as it took me several hours to figure this one out.
I expected a better picture quality than this!
I had a Sony CCD-FX-330 8mm that served me well, about 13 years before it started to have problems (leaking electrolytic capacitors on the main boards).
I have filmed three of my sons football games and it works GREAT very easy to use and small enough to carry in your shorts pockets
I love the size of this camcorder.
I've been Sony cameras user since about 30 years, so I'm very used with
Pity the lefties, for this camera fits my right hand perfectly with all the controls in easily-learnable positions.
This is my 3rd Sony camcorder over the past 11 years.
This is my 4th camcorder all from Sony!
- it's a 1080i camcorder and for this price it should be 1080p;
-- This Sony DCR-SX41 will definitely work with a Mac computer, at least a late model Mac.
I have never owned a camcorder, so, I did a lot of research before buying and decided to rely on the Sony brand name.
I wanted a camcorder that was small so I could take it with me most places and very simple yet took good video.
But I'm giving the Sony DCR-SX40 the FIVE STARS it deserves - not just the Four Stars that ended in the preview of my review (can't seem to change the darn thing).
I decided to go with the better brand name in Sony and get one with a flash drive so it wouldn't have all the extra moving parts and things that could break.
I use this product in a work enviroment and it is excellent.
They still make great camcorders.
I've had several Sony products over the years and have always been impressed by their quality and features.
THE CAMCORDER IS GREAT.
This is a great camera for videos, it's easy to operate & it's light & small.
Aiptek A-HD Pro 1080P High Definition Camcorder (Silver)
I bought mine brand new at Wal-Mart for just over $200, and it has been a wonderful camcorder, used it to record my sons first attempt at crawling, first steps, and to record all of our dogs playing in the yard!!
I bought this camera recently but now use it almost exclusively.
I bought this to get HD camcorder, and thought that the 3x optical zoom would suffice.
I have tested the aiptek HD it has good quality, but THE FILE FORMAT h264 WILL NOT IMPORT ON WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER OR SONY VEGAS, (crashes sony vegas if try to import it).
I don't know what they mean by image stabilizer, because as far as I can tell, this looks like video shot from any other camera aside from the HD aspect.
First of all, I am not a camcorder pro.
I also bought this camera without doing much research.
I am not an expert at video recorders- this is the first one I have used in years.
I am reviewing this as a person who likes still cameras but doesn't normally use a camcorder - I took this unit out of the box, charged it, and started to use it.
COMPANY: Some reviews of DXGUSA products mention that DXG is a United States company.
Great service in delivery.
The DXG 595v sounds really good on paper; 1080p, 5 megapixel shots, really cheap.
You can goto the dxgusa web site and download this update if you want it.
When I saw the DXG for about $200 (I got it for $199 at B&H) I thought I'd give it a try (the reviews elsewhere are better than here).
(Before I ran across this Mustek, I had been looking at something at Walmart that cost about the same but was little more than a glorified toy.) In sum, if your expectations aren't high, this little gadget will pleasantly surprise you.
Was hoping for a much easier camera to operate,
I bought this item for my boyfriend a few days before christmas.
So far, it seems like a decent camera/camcorder for about $70.
For the amount of money it does an okay job.
Some things that need addressing if RCA will come out with a firmware upgrade:
i think was lost by via usps...i put it 3 stars because inever had it ,the front looks like a old radio and because ihave seen and read the reviews of this product but who knows im skeptical ihave ordered but i didn get it.
When the unit is powered on, all it does is display the RCA Small Wonder welcome screen.
If you are in the market for a easy small "Flip" type cam, forget the rest.
RCA EZ300HD Small Wonder
Good price for a video camera that creates DVDs.
I am used to a VHS camcorder (a Sharp Slimcam) that takes fabulous video, but am upgrading to digital for the first time.
I called and asked them about a cannon camcorder and asked about the warranty and battery.
Recently purchased this camera before leaving to meet our Italian relatives for the first time in Italy.
The good side of this camera is the weight.
The learning curve has been incredibly fast, and I'm posting a short video I shot today with this camera as a sample of what I've filmed with the Panasonic HPX170.
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3HHTZIENGZRNQ I absolutely love working with this camcorder.
