I got the camera from different retailer but I love it. It beats the hack out of Panasonic HDC-SD9 (borrowed from a friend for a test drive)in PQ department. from Amazon.com Does NOT have a hand strap, uses a little wrist strap instead. It makes holding it much tougher and getting to the buttons as well. Lots of settings up to FULL 1080p, future proofing your purchase. I still have an excellent Sony MiniDV which can shoot standard definition in a 16:9 format and still think think AVCHD has a ways to go. from Amazon.com It fits perfectly in my pocket and loads faster than my canon elph digital camera even when not in standby mode. I figured that the zoom on the flip out screen is more presize And guess what it's 1080p as appose to 1080i only for the SSD models from samsung. Anyway I thought I'm going to miss the remote that I have on my old canon minidv camera but PS3 recognizes the camera as usb drive and I can use the PS3 interface and remote - doesn't get any better than this. from Amazon.com I have had this one for about 2 weeks.... this replaces a bigger 1080i Sony HDR video camera (built in 30 gb spinning hard drive) that we purchased may 2007 for $1600 AND LOST... from Amazon.com I love the form factor, touch screen, and specification for this camcorder.
