Instructions for using this camera were easy to follow. Video and audio clear. With a deployed husband, I wanted the ability to take short, family videos to send to him on a regular basis but I didn't need a video camera that would cost hundreds of dollars. from Amazon.com I'd heard such great things about the Flip, buying the UltraHD was not a difficult decision. The quality of the video is quite good, and it's easy enough for anyone to use. The few downsides I've found: from Amazon.com The lens on the Ultra is set way back and that is to give the Ultra a much better advantage in bright light situations. And indeed, in my video of the sunset, the Ultra captured the image of the sun and preserved the mountain vistas whereas the Mino couldn't handle it and washed out the sun, the sky and the vistas. It also created sun spots in the frame the closer I got to the sun. from Amazon.com this is all very good in theory, but until Flip fixes its battery and charging problems this camera is nothing but paperweight. The battery doesn't charge reliably. from Amazon.com I bought the Flip after reading a review about a good value HD camcorder that produces excellent pictures and sound.
