I had an RCA little world but find this better. from Amazon.com When I first came across this item, it was because I was searching for a practical means of quickly capturing video for web upload that did not involve much computer processing or the constant purchase of film/miniDV cassettes and the like. So, I was intrigued by the RCA "Traveler" Small Wonder's supposedly's point-and-shoot-and-upload capability's. Well, upon receiving this machine, I was quickly disappointed! from Amazon.com I received this and immediately started to click and take video of everything in sight! It was so easy to use, but then when I tried to upload the photos my PC was giving me an error message. After talking to RCA, trying to upload new software-twice, sent the machine back because RCA claimed that it was defective, received yet another 'Traveler' (after 6 weeks of waiting) and guess what?! It had the same problem. from Amazon.com I did a whole wedding in available lighting this weekend at web-quality and the pictures are terrific. The video editing software downloads from the camera the first time you hook up to a USB port to download your movies/pictures on each computer. The RCA Memory Manager (I think that's it's name) that gets installed is a low-end product but seems to work ok once you get the hang of it. Basically it let's you "slice and dice" your videos and recombine them or cut out parts you don't want in the final version. from Amazon.com I agree with most of the pros and cons already covered by other reviews. Top of mind for me are good for the price and compact but not the best quality especially on audio pick up and lighting. Could be a decent value - however the big ding for me that I haven't seen mentioned is RCA's customer service. We paid $74.71 for the camera including shipping then unfortunately dropped it the very first day. from Amazon.com The review is primarily regarding the poor service I have received from both Shasta Media and Amazon.com... My RCA EZ250 arrived in its original packing but there is a crack in the side of the viewfinder. I immediately let Shasta Media know about this and simply requested a replacement as the item was a perfect size and certainly capable of performing my portable needs. from Amazon.com I purchased this camera for my 12 year old twin boys. The camera was shaky from the start. In order to get it to work as advertised I had to go to the RCA web site to get a software update. My inquiry for customer support at the [...] describing the problem was not answered, although I may have asked an impossible question. There was no problem with sound or picture when connected to my HP laptop, and I corrected the sound on my desktop after uninstalling the RCA software, which may not have been necessary.
