Pros: Good camcorder

Cons: They Charge $30 to download drivers

Some how the drivers for the camcorder became corupt, so I went to go get my CD to reinstall the drivers and realized it was already packed because I'm moving. So I figured I would just download the drivers from online. I go online to the Sony site to get my drivers and They wanted $29.99. Basically $34 bucks after tax and shipping for the CD.

Pros: Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, 20X optical Zoom, Color perfection, Ease of use, Good video quality

Cons: Grainy low light performance, No Handycam Station, No cold shoe for additional attachment

I have used DCR-HC42 of my friend for a long time, it is 1 m.p. cam with a facility of wide screen hybrid lcd display, cold shoe & handycam station.
