for movies we use the windows movie maker, i'm sure there are better programs out there but it is simple to use and already on the computer.

the camera takes nice, sharp video and can survive a 60-70mph downhill skiing journey at 10 degrees f (not sure what the windchill was, but it was cold!) and still function like a champ.
